Getting There
Two airports, one hire car, and a lift from someone who is already driving.
Flying into Brazil
There are two sensible airports, and the second one is usually the better idea.
Viracopos International Airport (VCP) — Campinas
About 45 minutes by car. Often the most convenient option if your itinerary
allows it, and a far calmer airport to land in.
São Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU)
About 1 hour 45 minutes by car. Most long-haul flights from Europe land
here, so this is where most of you will arrive.
If you are booking from France or the UK, check both — a connection into Viracopos can be worth it, but only if the layover is civilised.
Driving times
The venue is in Itu, roughly:
- 1h15 from São Paulo city
- 45 minutes from Campinas
- 1h45 from Guarulhos Airport
Getting from the airport
- Hire a car. Easiest if you want to explore the region before or after, and it makes the wineries and Itu itself much simpler.
- Uber. Works reliably from both airports, though it is a long ride from Guarulhos.
- Share with other guests. Plenty of people are making the same journey at the same time.

We are keeping a list of who is arriving when, so we can put people travelling on the same day in touch with each other. Send us your flight details once you have booked and we will do the matchmaking.
Practical bits
Check your visa requirements early — they depend on your passport and they do change. Brazilian immigration is straightforward, but the queue at Guarulhos after an overnight flight is not short.
